El mosquerito cenizo (Tyranniscus cinereiceps), también denominado tiranuelo cenizo (en Colombia), tiranolete cabecinegro (en Ecuador), moscareta de cabeza ceniza (en Perú) o atrapamoscas cabecicenizo (en Venezuela) es una especie de ave paseriforme de la familia Tyrannidae perteneciente al numeroso género Phyllomyias. Es nativa del noroeste y oeste de América del Sur.

Distribución y hábitat

Se distribuye a lo largo de los Andes desde el extremo suroeste de Venezuela (sur de Táchira), Colombia (las tres cordilleras), oeste y ese de Ecuador y este del Perú (al sur hasta Cuzco).

Su hábitat natural son las húmedas montañas subtropicales o tropicales.

The ashy-headed tyrannulet (Tyranniscus cinereiceps) is a species of bird in the family Tyrannidae. It is found in Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru.

Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist montane forests.

The Ashy-headed Tyrannulet is a small flycatcher of montane northwestern South America. Distributed from Colombia south to southern Peru, the species inhabits canopy and middle levels of humid Andean forest between 1400 and 2700 meters in elevation. It is olive above with a blue-gray cap, black auricular border framed in white, white superciliary, and yellow underparts with a dingy olive chest. Ashy-headed Tyrannulet is stocky for a member of the genus Phyllomyias and often perches upright.
